Susanna uses Indian dance to inspire and capture the imagination of children who are studying the topic of India. Assemblies and workshops are in accord with National curriculum key stages 1 and 2.
She offers an authentic experience of rural life in Southern India through the eyes of a dancer. Susanna incorporates elements of story telling, mime, colour, exquisite costume, traditional music and dancing bells which together add a spiritual dimension to the presentation of stories.
In a stunning traditional sari Susanna performs dances based on rural life in India, including the Snake Charmer, Land of the Tiger and the Festival of Light.
A wonderful experience, the children were spellbound.Leander Crew, class teacher year 1, Sommerfields Primary School, Isle of Wight
Exciting and vibrant workshops develop awareness of Indian culture, through rhythm and dance.
Susanna's enthusiasm and expertise was inspiring and her patience and teaching was excellent.Gillian Davis, Music Co-ordinator, St Benedicts R.C. Primary School, Leeds
Many many thanks for your workshops yesterday. The feedback I have been receiving is great, the pupils and staff really enjoyed their sessions, and hopefully we will do this week again next year.Class teacher Pauline Burgin, Corbets Tey School, Upminster
